High quality and extreme workout for grip strength no matter what level you're at. Can't say enough on how good the quality of materials are.

The Loadable Blob is a challenge in grip strength training from start to finish. Since it's loadable, it adjusts with your level of comfort...or gives you a killer workout. This is a great deal on a really versatile piece for your home gym.

Usually train with 2"-2.5" thick bars and had no idea your Blob was so wide. At present time 15 lb. is challenging, so I need a lot more work to reach 50 lb. It always seemed absurd to cut up many D.B. to get Blobs of different weights. Just buy your Product and increase the weight as you get stronger. (However, would suggest that steel plate on bottom of loading pin be increased from 2.5" to about 6" in diameter to keep Blob from falling over with small weights). This is a Great Product.

Just had my first workout yesterday and it was awesome! I have a 30lb york blob at home and this is wider and more challenging. I will be using this for the foreseeable future. I got the textured blob and its a little slick. I think the un-textured model would hold chalk better, it's doesn't matter though, I still love this product. Thanks stronger grip for making a great product. I don't know of any other site that makes this.

This is an extremely well made blob. Using shot, you can progressively increase the weight - slowly. Invest in a funnel if you do that. The loading pin can be used with standard or olympic weights. To use standard plates, remove the outer sleeve of the loading pin. Olympic plates fit nicely and micro loading plates (1/4 lb and up) are the way to go.
Empty blob (mine) weighs 5.2 lb and the loading pin (with outer olympic sleeve weighs 2 1/2 lb).

I picked this up for my grip training in hopes of one day completing the GNC grip gauntlet. This thing is one quality piece of equipment!
I chose the textured paint option and it has just a slight bit of bite to it - enough for a little chalk to stick.
The loading pin has an extra metal sleeve on it so you can use either standard or olympic plates. Brilliant.
It's got a slightly more rounded slope than a real blob, but that will save your thumb webbing from getting torn up.
Well built. Get it.
