StrongerGripTM Monster Sledge
A massive sledge that is built for beating and will reward you with unbelievable conditioning. A great thing about the StrongerGripTM loadable sledges are the big hitting surfaces. The large sledge face lets you get in some tire slammin without worrying about the sledge twisting in your hands and hurting your wrists. Another benefit of the larger hitting surface is the reduced bounce back. The Monster weighs in at 19 lbs empty and loads up to 50 lbs with steel shot/media and heavier with lead shot.
Shipping weight -22lbs

I was really looking forward to getting this and putting it to use. I wasn't disappointed. Awesome! I've had it for 10 days and use it every third. I'm getting stronger and loving how its helping lean me out. Thank you.

The monster hammer is a thousand times better than the 16 pound home depot hammer I have been using. Its more comfortable and I can add a bunch of weight. Perfect sledgehammer.

This is a true monster of weight lifting equipment. I took it out of the box and it was freaking huge, so it was very satisfying to smash some tires. And it only gets better when you load it with shot.

When I got the monster sledge, it was well built - just like everything else I get from Ryan. However, I did have a few concerns. The first was the grip, I felt the burrs on the handle were too aggressive and the second concern was a small screw hole on the top of the sledge that I felt would leak shot when I did start filling it.
I was wrong about the grip - it is perfect! It does not irritate or cut up my hand - and I have soft hands! Any less aggressive and this big sledge would be difficult to wield.
Ryan assured me that the hole on the top of the sledge would not leak shot, but my shot is smaller than the hole on the top of the sledge, so I decided to perform a do-it-yourself job and plugged the hole with steel putty. Now I am sure shot will not leak.
Using the sledge is very satisfying and provides a better workout than I got with my 10lb sledgehammer. The only problem is that my truck half tires that worked well with the smaller sledge are now buckled after I started using the monster SLS on them. I think I will have to buy the heavy duty half tires Ryan sells!
Overall, I am very satisfied with the monster SLS, but it is pricey as befits the great workout instrument that it is. If it is too expensive for you, my advise is to start with a 10lb sledge and save up for this, you will get almost as good a workout with the 10lb sledge.

Top shelf all the way! Don't know why I've even been messing around with the home improvement store hammers. Great quality & workmanship all the way around. I will buy more items from Ryan and refer my friends!

In comparison, all other sledgehammers are puny. I began using an 8 lb. sledgehammer from Home Depot, went to a 16 lb. hammer when that got easy, and that led me here. This is the last hammer you'll ever need - seriously. It starts out around a whopping 20 lbs. and can be loaded up to 50 lbs. I have been using this since I got it a few weeks ago, and the 16 lb. hammer feels like a toy when I hit the tire. It strengthens your grip, gives you awesome explosive power, and it ramps up your conditioning like few other instruments.
Also, you tend to look like a badass walking around with one. That's always cool ;^)

This is an update to the review below, I added 26000 NBA to the hammer, I think that filled it about halfway. The workouts are incredible, I can feel it in my hands, forearms, arms, chest, back, and, heart, and lungs. If swinging this hammer around gets easy I will know that I could have survived a 1000 years ago.
